Yes, in my head I knew that they just wanted to kill me, too, but in my heart, I knew that they had my sister, Caleb’s Mama, and my sister’s best friend. I dropped off the wall next to the stands and took off running toward whatever hell was waiting….ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Carolyn Day lives on a small rural farm in Tennessee with her husband Ron and her grandson Cody. RAVEN WILSON was about to turn sixteen when the world went mad. Suddenly life comes at her so fast that she can’t seem to keep up. Forced to move to a huge family bunker in the Tennessee hills, she and her family see neighbor turn against neighbor as the world economy crashes. Nothing surprises RAVEN more than when she finds love as the world falls apart around her.RAVEN was a twin. Her brother RJ had always been her best friend. They were twins, but RJ got the looks and the height. Still…they both inherited beautiful violet eyes from their grandmother. Jeremy was their eight year old brother and little Jessica was their eight week old sister. They all had similar features and even though RAVEN wouldn’t admit it; they were all quite beautiful.WILSON MOUNTAIN was located in the hills of Tennessee. The cool thing about it was the simple fact that it was hollow. Generations of WILSONS worked to make the mountain a huge bunker and it had all of the necessities to survive for years if necessary if things went to hell. RAVEN did not think that she would ever see what an E.M.P. would do to mess up the whole economic balance. It was hard to believe that people in the Bible belt would actually turn against each other. Her faith in mankind was shaken to the core. One thing that RAVEN was NOT looking for was love. The world was falling apart…come on! Yet…there he was; a broken beautiful young man that touched her heart with his goodness. Still…RAVEN was one of the guys…not a girly girl. No one was more shocked when RAVEN found herself falling in love with another sixteen year old in the middle of what seemed to be the end of the world.RAVEN had never shot an animal. She was an excellent tracker and at home in the wilderness but when it came to taking a life of another living being, she couldn’t do it. That was before. Now, it was a matter of kill or be killed. Protect or watch family and friends die.

KINSEY JACKSON had finally agreed to go home after a long sabbatical in paradise. She thought she had lost her mind. In her heart, she felt unclean…damaged…from the nightmare that Adam and Derek Myers had put her through. The Summers clan (her maiden name) were survivors and although she was still frightened of crowds and most men terrified her, she had to try to go home and get back to her life. She had survived … Her baby survived. Now, it looked like her marriage would survive, too. They thought the nightmare ended when the cartel that worked with the Myers had been killed or put in jail but the corruption went so much deeper. Sabotage…had not been on their minds when Chief Marco brought his private jet to escort them home. They were going to surprise their families by showing up early unannounced. Through a treacherous storm and high winds they discovered that someone had messed with the gauges and the fuel tank. Their jet shut down and became a glider. Kinsey encouraged Marco to aim for the island ahead…it was the only thing solid for miles. The plane made a rough landing, injuring Marco and Caleb, Kinsey’s husband. It is nearly impossible to try to care for two large muscle bound men, a scared two year old daughter and an infant while the back of the jet was still in the water. KINSEY’S health was border line but she doggedly worked to get everyone ashore and treated. She set up camp in a large cavern just in time to hide from pirates that were trying to take the jet.The struggle for survival took its toll on KINSEY. Her family meant everything to her and she fought like a mama lion against pirates and more of the cartel. KINSEY claimed that she was a trouble magnet…a pervert magnet…and she was afraid for her family and friends to be around her because it wasn’t safe. One of the charter owners held KINSEY at knife point as her sister’s FBI unit ran to their rescue. His plan was the slit her throat as soon as the others got close enough. KINS knew this so she waited until he relaxed and let herself go limp. She took him out with a kick to the side of the head but she misjudged the knife and it almost killed her. This story is nonstop suspense, adventure, love and heartbreak. It portrays a close family, a beautiful old Hawaiian shaman and KINSEY’S will that wavered but didn’t break. KINSEY JACKSON is a character that we all would like to be at times; courageous, outrageous, tough, sensitive, loyal…and so full of love for her family and friends that she would do anything for them.

KINSHEY JACKSON only wanted a normal life. So far her life has been full of trial, injury and illness. What keeps her sane is her family. The two previous books of Kinsey’s life expose an assault, a rape and amnesia. She fought to find herself again and start over. Illness invaded her happiness just as she was facing her marriage to Caleb and even though she walked a fine line between life and death, she still prevailed. She was an Olympic finalist, college student, an artist, a pianist…but most of all, she was a young woman who loved everything she was. When her older sister and brother-in-law are involved in a plane crash in Hawaii….Kinsey is faced with the impossible. A plane charter conflict places Kinsey in the middle as a pawn and an obsession of a deranged Hawaiian native. As Kinsey fights to get her life back together, she finds herself in a true Garden of Eden on top of a volcano. Killing her attacker and fleeing through the jungles of an upper island, Kinsey thought she was unworthy to live. She only wanted to live long enough for her baby—Cable’s son—to survive. This fast paced book will take you from Kinsey’s family almost perishing in a plane crash to a final jet crash on an isolated island. After fighting back from being kidnapped and abused and blowing Derrick’s head off in the close quarters of their jet….after losing and then regaining her sanity and her young family on the top of that volcano….Kinsey got the courage to go back home and face her life again. That was not going to happen because the charter conflict was not over. Someone had placed filled balloons in the fuel tank of the FBI jet and even though the gauge read almost full, the jet ran out of fuel before it made it to its destination in Baja, California. It seemed like Chief Marco and the young Jackson family had simply vanished out in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. How could anyone go through so much and then just perish? Her life had been plagued by so much pain and just when it looked like things were going to be okay, the madness just starts again…

Kinsey Summers begins a new life when she wakes up on a beach towel in Northern Miami shoreline. She is in excruciating pain and totally disoriented. Finding her way back to where she came from becomes a deadly adventure that keeps you wondering how you would handle the fear and the pain of a vicious attack and learning to trust again.Have you ever startled awake and felt like your chest was about to explode? Have you felt the fear, the panic, the whole terror of someone chasing you with intent to kill, but when you awoke, there was absolutely nothing there that should have made you feel that way?I awoke with that exact feeling. I was lying on the beach on a large beach towel. No one else was around and the sun was beginning to set. I felt strange. I was disoriented and the more I tried to focus, the more my head banged like a throbbing abscessed tooth. What the crap? I closed my eyes tightly and tried to think. Thinking hurt. Where am I? Who did I come to the beach with? What beach? Then I had this total panicked feeling…WHO AM I? I rolled over onto my hands and knees and waited until the world quit spinning and then I slowly got to my feet and looked around.
